Agreements are on paper
Before, nothing was written down after a meeting. Now a few paragraphs say what was decided and who is going to do what.

AI turns the recording of a meeting into a summary with action points, so agreements do not get lost.
Derec is a Dutch staffing agency for education. In a meeting, decisions are made and tasks are divided, but writing it all up afterwards took too much time, so nothing was summarised. I built a solution in which a colleague uploads the recording of a meeting in a chat and AI writes a summary of it, in the form the colleague asks for.
Before, nothing was written down after a meeting. Now a few paragraphs say what was decided and who is going to do what.
The colleague says what the summary should contain, such as action points or decisions. The summary then holds only what is needed, not the whole conversation word for word.
AI writes the summary based on the recording. Nobody has to write the meeting up themselves any more, which used to take too much time.
BEFORE
After a meeting, nothing was summarised: writing it all up would take too much time. So what had been decided and who would do what was not written down anywhere.
THE USUAL SOLUTION
The usual solution is a transcription program that writes out the whole conversation word for word. That produces pages of text, from which somebody still has to pick out the decisions and action points. The starting point was therefore a summary that shows straight away what was agreed.
THE RECORDING
A colleague uploads the recording of the meeting, made with a phone or in an online meeting, and writes what kind of summary is needed.
THE SUMMARY
One AI turns the recording into text, a second AI writes the summary of it in the form asked for. The colleague gets an e-mail as soon as it is ready.
THE FOLLOW-UP
The summary is in the chat. There the colleague can ask for a change, or have a Word file made of it to share.
PRIVACY
The recording is deleted after it has been processed. The summary is only in the chat of the colleague who uploaded the recording, and the e-mail contains no content, only a link to that chat. The system sends nothing to others automatically: the colleague decides who the summary is shared with.
From a recording to a summary in the chat. Along the way, two AIs do the work: one writes the meeting out, the other summarises it.
Colleague → Derec's system · A recording and a request
Derec's system → AI · transcribing · The recording
The first AI writes the meeting out and keeps the speakers apart. For a long meeting that takes time, so it happens in the background: the chat does not wait for the result and the colleague can carry on working.
AI · transcribing → AI · summarising · The written-out meeting
The text goes on to a second AI. It writes the summary, in the form the colleague asked for.
AI · summarising → Derec's system · The summary
The summary goes into the colleague's chat, and nowhere else.
Derec's system → Colleague · An e-mail with a link
The colleague gets an e-mail with a link to the chat. In that chat the colleague can ask for a change, such as the action points per person, or have a Word file made of it.
It has been in use at Derec since November 2025, and for all colleagues since March 2026. A meeting now produces a summary without anyone having to make time for it.
