No more retyping CVs
A recruiter used to retype each candidate's education and experience into a template. Now AI reads the CV and puts the details in the house style.

AI turns any candidate's CV into the house style, photo included, so every school receives the same polished document.
Derec is a Dutch staffing agency for education. When a recruiter introduces a candidate to a school, a CV in Derec's house style goes with them. I built a solution in which AI reads a candidate's CV and converts it to that house style, photo included. The recruiter then reads it through and downloads it.

Every CV gets the same structure and layout. A school therefore compares candidates on substance, not on design.
A recruiter used to cut out the photo and insert it by hand. Now AI takes the candidate's photo from the original CV and places it in the right spot in the document.
BEFORE
A candidate supplies a CV in a form of their own. To send it to a school in the house style, a recruiter retyped the details into a Word template and placed a photo in it. That happened again for every candidate, and every recruiter did it slightly differently.
THE CV
A recruiter uploads the CV as a PDF or Word file in a chat, or types in the details.
THE DRAFT
AI extracts the details from the CV and puts them in Derec's fixed structure: profile, experience and education. The recruiter sees a draft first.
THE PHOTO
A CV often holds more images than just a photo, such as a logo or a certificate. The system extracts those images from the CV, after which AI picks the candidate's profile photo from them and places it in the document.
THE DOCUMENT
The result is a Word file in Derec's layout, which the recruiter can still edit afterwards.
CONTROL
AI only uses what is in the CV and what the recruiter adds. The draft marks what AI added, and shows what is missing as unknown instead of filling it in. The system sends the CV nowhere automatically: the recruiter reads it through and sends it personally.
From a CV in a form of its own to a CV in the house style: a conversation between a recruiter and AI, in four steps.
The recruiter opens a chat and hands in the candidate's CV.
AI puts the details in the fixed structure and picks the photo. The draft appears beside the chat, with colour showing what AI added and what is still missing.
The recruiter adds what is missing and asks for changes in plain language, a shorter profile for example. After every addition, AI produces a new draft.
When the draft is right, the recruiter creates the final CV, downloads it as a Word file and sends it to the school personally.
It has been in use at Derec since January 2026. A recruiter now spends the time reading a CV through, no longer retyping it.
